Vera Luce Farm

Vera Luce Farm is setting out to bring Triangle chefs flavor rich produce with a story. Years of eating, studying, and dreaming brought this farm to fruition. We couldn’t have found a more perfect partner as true seasonal menus are Vera Luce’s target. They are passionate about vegetables that evoke the senses and flavors that come with them. Their produce shows a clear love of the leafy bitters. crunchy sweets, and all those amazing tastes somewhere in between!

Latta’s Egg Ranch

Started by Lantham Latta just after World War II, this Hillsborough based egg farm has grown to produce 30,000 eggs daily! All Latta hens are housed cage-free and all their eggs are carefully hand-gathered daily by Lantham’s sons, Mark, Paul, and Frank, and his grandsons, Ray and Gardner, who now run the farm!

Blue Sky Farms

Blue Sky Farms was founded in the spring of 1994 by Steve Wilson. Steve started simply by himself, with an ice cooler, an old pick up truck, a field of basil, heirloom tomatoes, and an idea. Since then Blue Sky Farms has grown into a complete produce company servicing the finest restaurants and gourmet groceries in the Triangle. Blue Sky Farms provides, in addition to its complete line of herbs, fruits and vegetables, specialty crops grown seasonally. All of which are grown without the use of herbicides or pesticides.

Timberwood Organics

The 27-acre family farm that is Timberwood Organics is run by Ray and Maria Christopher, their children Kunda and Danistha, and Maria’s sister, Maria Linzmeyer in Efland, NC.  They grow fruits and vegetables on 11 acres of their farm, and also have a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture).

Seven Springs Farm

In the land of Floyd County, Ron Juftes and Polly Hieser had a vision. From that, they began farming in 1990, forming the first CSA in the area, and supplying fresh organic produce to the community.  In 1993 they started offering organic supplies to local farmers. Over the years, the Farming and Gardening Supply Catalog has grown to include online sales, and a strong involvement in organic agriculture.
